My name is Ada. I’ve been working in NH Hotels since 1997, when I was 18 years. I started as a trainee and then I worked as a receptionist in some hotels. Nowadays I workd as a front desk manager NH Les Corts, in Barcelona.

When I received the proposition to come to Ethiopia to collaborate with the NGO Manos Unidas to help out with my expertise I was really happy. I couldn’t believe it!
I’ve never collaborate with an NGO and I thought that having the possibility to show what I’ve been doing for 14 years in my job, it would be a dream.

My responsibility within this project is to train the manager of the hotel on how to manage a hotel as a business (doing all the accounting)  and I have to train all the staff regarding the touristic quality, giving them some information to be experts as a receptionist, waiters, housekeepers…

My name is Giovanni. I’m 27 and I work in NH Fiera, in Milano and I’m the in charge of the restaurant, and I'm the second chef.

When I received the proposition to be part of the project of Manos Unidas, I was very curious and interessed, specially because it was a project as a volunteer in a continent I’ve never been before: Africa.

My job will be to train the cook and waiters, to organize how to clean the kitchen, to organize the precooking, etc.
